The Med Charity Date Auction is an annual event in which medical students raise money for a Charity of their choice. This year, The SMSS will be supporting SWITCH.
SWITCH was created by students in order to enrich educational experiences and to provide much needed services for Saskatoon’s core neighbourhoods. We have an active pool of volunteers from the University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, and Saskatchewan Polytechnic. We are also beginning to see volunteers from other Saskatchewan educational institutions such as the First Nations University of Canada and Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies. What this also means is that our board of directors are students, primarily in the Health Sciences, professional colleges, or at the undergraduate level. For more information about SIWTCH please see their website http://switchclinic.com/about/
Med Year one students have organized dates. Dates for auction may range from one-on-one, group dates, build-a-date baskets, as well as many other items for silent auction! This event is open to the public and it is not exclusive to members of the College of Medicine, so please invite all your friends, family, and colleagues to join in on the fun!
