SMSS Position: Local Exchange Officer

Main responsibilities/description (filled out by (Jake Choi) (2014-2016): Local Exchange Officers are responsible for facilitating IFMSA-CFMS international exchange program. Our roles involve promoting U of S medical students to submit application forms for the exchange, help them filling out the application forms and accommodate incoming international exchange students. We also work as a member of Global Health Committee and actively involved in organizing annual Global Health Conference held by the College of Medicine.

1. This position allows you to help our local medical students to get international experiences 1. As a medical student, your request might not be the first thing to be considered when communicating with faculty members
2. This position allows you to interact with members from different organizations (ie. SMSS internal/external division members, LEOs from other medical schools, NEOs from CFMS, faculty members of different departments, etc.) 2.

Communicating with other international medical students might not be easy all the time.

3. This position guarantees an international exchange opportunity for the Local Exchange Officer. 3. You are in charge of applying for the funding for outgoing exchange students
