SMSS Council Meetings

SMSS Council meets once a month (on average).

Anyone on the SMSS council can submit an agenda items for SMSS Council Meetings. Anyone who is a medical student at the College of Medicine can attend council meetings and participate in the discussion. If you are a non-council member and wish to submit an agenda item, please talk to a council member, and they will help you.

SGM (Spring General Meeting) is open to all medical students and all medical students have a vote at this meeting. SGM is where changes to the constitution are discussed and voted on. It is a great opportunity to get involved in the SMSS.

Putting an item on the agenda is an opportunity for the council member to discuss what they have been up to and gain feedback, to propose a motion of change, to bring forth a request from an SMSS non-council member.

Please submit Agenda items not later than 3 days prior to the SMSS Council Meeting to give our secretary enough time to compile and distribute the agenda.
