Advocates for Bringing Light to and Education on Disabilities (ABLED) is hosting our 2nd annual fun day for children with disabilities on April 16th 1-4pm. Find link below to sign up to volunteer. Full details below.
On Saturday, April 16th between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., the ABLED student group, FMC, and PIG are collaborating to host our second annual Fun Day. The day of fun is geared towards children (under the age of 16) with special needs and their parents and will happen at St. Gerard School. Our goals are to provide an opportunity for medical students to engage with children who have intellectual or physical disabilities, to promote education on disabilities, and to hold a fantastically fun day for the kids!
We are planning on having stations around the gym with different activities at each station, such as making flubber, bean bag toss, face painting, a bouncy castle (from Astro Jump), and a mini Teddy Bear Clinic. We are looking for volunteers to run these circuits, to help with registration, and to be our photographer! If you would like to sign up to volunteer and attend this event, please follow this link and type your information into the Volunteer Table:
Hope to see you there; it’s going to be an awesome day!
